The lecture focuses on modern particle physics. It builds on the letcure Particle Physics and replaces the former lecture Standard Model.
Topics of the lecture: While the lecture Particle Physics was focusing on tree-level process, the lecture Particle Physics II adresses the effects of higher-order (radiative) quantum corrections - often called loops. The lecture comprises three theoretical blocks (DGLAP, Higgs, Beyond the Standard Model) and several experimental blocks (higher order QED effects, quark and lepton flavor physics, neutron physics, dark matter searches).
Prerequisites:
Lecture "Particle Physics".
Literature:
F. Halzen, A.D.Martin: Quarks and Leptons (pheno)
