The lecture is equivalent to the bachelor module parts WPAstro.1+2 during the winter and summer term but requires a higher level of basic physical knowledge. 

 

Nevertheless also motivated 3rd semester BSc students are welcome to participate. 

This lecture is organized as a block course with 2 parts in the time Sep. 27th - Oct. 15th, 2021.

Lecture Introduction to Astronomy (V, block)

Time: daily 9:30 - 13:00, 27.09. - 30.10. (1 free day on October 6)

Location: gHS (großer Hörsaal at Phil.12, 2nd floor) 

Attention: 7.-8.10.: nHS (neuer Hörsaal behind Phil 12)

 

Exercises to Introduction to Astronomy 

Time: daily 14:30 - 16:00 (group 1), 16:00-17:30 (group 2)

Location: kHS (kleiner Hörsaal , at Phil.12, 1st floor)

Written exam, general information:

  • Friday, 22. Oct. 2021, INF 308 HS2, personal attendance
  • The exam starts at 14:00 Uhr and ends at 16:00 Uhr.
  • Entrance starts at 13:45 Uhr, so that we have enough time for preparation.
  • Please disinfect your hands when entering the building with the disinfectants provided.
  • Bring your student ID and your personal mouth-nose protection mask with you.
  • Remember to keep a minimum distance of 1.5m to other people both outside and inside the building.
  • Inside the building, also during the examination, there is a general obligation to wear masks.
  • When entering an examination room, place your student ID card on a table provided especially for this purpose.
  • Please bring your smart phone or another device, which allows you to scan the QR code and fill the contact data online (Eduroam).
  • minimum equipment: pen (no pencil), ID card with picture, Matrikel-No.
  • optional: personally prepared, handwritten crib sheet: A4 2-sided
  • the technical boundary conditions/style are very similar to the exams in PEP1-3 (but less calculations). For examples see the second slide of the 'AGN' lecture. Please bring your own calculator (no tablet, not smart phone)
  • If you are accepted for the exam, you will be registered as soon as you enter the lecture room. We will control your ID card with picture (please do not forget it).
