Masters Seminar: The Galaxy Baryon Cycle. Topics include the multi-scale physics of star formation, stellar and supermassive black hole feeding and feedback, gas accretion, quenching, the interstellar medium, and the intergalactic medium. Students will prepare and present a 45 minute talk on an assigned topic and prepare a 10 page report. Through group feedback, a key goal of this course is to provide participants the opportunity to practice and improve on their presentation skills in a constructive learning environment. In the advent of restrictions on in-person meetings, we aim to organize the course online over video (Zoom).
Course organization will be done through the e-learning environment. An enrollment key will be sent to all enrolled participants by email.
If enrollment is full but you would like to attend, please contact the course organizers to be placed on the wait list.
