HowTo - A webpage only visible for participants
Requirements / Preparation
- You must be logged in and have the appropriate permissions.
- Create a new sub-website of the lecture homepage. (See also 'Creating a Web Page')
- You must know the ID of the lecture. This is typically a four-digit number. (In this example, I'll just take 8888)
Procedure
Configure access rights for the new page:
- if you're logged in, there's a link called 'Web Content', with a small menu. Follow the link 'Page properties'; a small window will open.
- There is the item 'Visibility', which is probably set to 'public'. Click on 'edit' there.
-
From the possibilities there is e.g. 'logged in':
But this allows access for ALL logged in users. -
You want to restrict the access to the participants of the lecture: Select 'SESSION-Variable' and enter
Variable: vorl8888
Value: ok
and 'save'. The name of the session variable consists of 'vorl' and the ID number of the event. - Then only the participants (and tutors) of the lecture have access.
